Judges 6-8, Psalms 75 (through the Bible)
Lord, thank Your for the blessings you’ve poured on us. The place we’re living now is great, and now you’ve allowed me to get a new car. Lord, i pray that You will supernaturally bless that car so that it runs forever with minimal upkeep. You know how bad I am with maintenance so I pray that You would help me to be better at it. Lord, thank You for my family and just how wonderful they are. Thank You for Meagan who tries so hard to be a good mom and wife and it shows. Thank You that she worships and serves You. Lord, i just pray now for our big decision about pursuing this job at Elevation. I pray that You’ll give us a peace that passes understanding as You said You would. I pray that You’ll shower us in wisdom from Your word, from our friends that we trust, and from our family. I pray that You will give us contentment and excitement for whatever decision we make. Lord, You are in control, and I KNOW that whatever we decide that You have our best interests in mind. That You love us too much to allow us to make a decision that would injure our family. I pray for Meagan’s sadness, that You would swoop in and embrace her, and give her the courage to move forward with this decision. I pray that You would use her and others to tell me if we’re not supposed to go. But Lord most of all, thank You so incredibly much for this opportunity and for allowing my dreams to become a reality. You weren’t kidding when you said that You would give us the desires of our heart. Lord, I’ve prayed it many times, and You know how I feel about it, but a deep desire of my heart is to know You intimately through doing Your work on earth in great and mighty ways. I don’t know what that looks like, and I think right now I’m too afraid to flesh it out, but Lord, I don’t want a “safe” life. I know You are the one that keeps us safe, so I want to live my life in a way that pushes the limits of our faith, and has to depend on You. Lord, I love You so much and i pray that You will speak to me about this.
