Lord, thank you for my family, and thank You so much that Meagan and I get to go on an overnight trip to Myrtle Beach, and a concert.  We’re so excited to get away and again thank You for the opportunity.  I pray that we have an amazing time, and that You bless it.  Lord, also thank You for a great talk with Keith yesterday.  It was so great to be able to share what You’ve taught me with someone else, and for them to “get it” like You helped me “get it.”  I pray that You’ll continue to be with Keith during this point in his life.  I know he is making huge strides, and i know that You’ve been with him till this point.  I just pray that You’ll use him to do incredible things, and that he will bless You for the hard times.  I also pray for the Poletti’s that You would bless them financially.  Please send some money from them that they don’t expect, and please bless Dave’s work, that he would finally get something that would be through and final.  Lord, i pray that You would use me where I am and that I would be content.  Please help me to play guitar well, and to learn these bar chords really well.  I love You and thank You for helping me learn guitar!

Our Daily Bread

Lord, thank You for guitar.  Thank You for allowing me to learn even what i have.  it is a a huge blessing in my life, and very encouraging to me that i can learn something like that in my late 20’s.  Lord, i pray that You’ll help me to continue to get better, and that I would be able to sing and worship You while playing.  I LOVE the idea of leading worship!  I also pray that You would wake something up inside of me when i i’m playing/singing music that would be a connection with Your spirit, rather than just pure recital of what i’ve practiced.  Lord, I know You can do that for me, as You have done it for so many others.  Lord, i also pray for this desire that You’ve put inside of me to do something great.. something that matters.  Lord, i pray that You would help me to get to a point in my life where i feel like i’m doing something on this earth that is actually mattering in Your kingdom.  And if that means staying in what i’m doing and learning to glorify You in it, Lord, i pray desperately for that.  I don’t want to have my light be hidden under a bush.  Lord,  i love You.  I also pray for Meagan.  I know i’m not making things easy on here, and i pray You’ll help me to make that right, but i also pray that You’ll give her the grace to be able to deal with it/me.  I pray that You’ll continue to help us both become better parents.  Lord, i pray for DAve and Keith.  Help them both to focus on You.  I also pray that You would reconcile their relationship, and that they would become extremely close like David and Jonathan.  I also pray that You would give me a friend like Jonathan.  I pray for our church.  Sometimes i can’t help but feel like we’re going nowhere fast, but Lord, You are in control and know what You are doing.  I pray that whatever You are doing is making the church stronger, and that ultimately Your glory will be made known more because of what’s being done in our church now.  Lord, i Love You so much.

Our Daily Bread

Good morning God!  Thank You for a great weekend, and for allowing/equipping me to sing and play guitar in church… It is such an incredible feeling! Lord, i just thank You for so many answered prayers.. specifically for my prayers about playing guitar and singing, and playing and singing at the same time.  I thought that none of those were possible 5 years ago, and look where You’ve brought me!  Lord, i pray that You’ll help me to continue to improve.  Lord, what i would really love would be to have  the skill, passion, voice and ability to lead worship sessions, or crazier even.. to lead worship in church.  Lord, You know my heart, and i pray that You’ll make it so, if my heart is pure.

Lord, i really need to bring this Elevation job opportunity before You.  There are so many things to consider, that i am having such a hard time figuring it out, and i can’t tell if i’m asking too much of Meagan.  Lord, You are completely capable of helping us make the right decision, in the right way, so i pray that You would totally guide us.  Make our paths straight, and our path enlightened.  Lord, again, You know my heart.  You know why i want to stay where i am and You why i want to work there.  Lord, please don’t let me move/work there if it’s going to be a lot of heartache for my family. Lord, i want to protect them from damage.  Lord, i want You to protect them from damage.  I pray that You would make the correct path abundantly clear. ok, i’m placing this in Your hands and trusting You.  i love You!

Lord, i pray for my conversation with Keith today, that You would bless it, and that You would allow me to be an encouragement to Keith.  Lord, i pray that he is finally ready to come back to You and to worship You.  And i pray that as a result of that, that full and complete healing would happen.  Lord, You know his heart.  You knew him from the foundations of the world.  Lord, i also know that You love him more than i do.  Lord, again, i place him in Your hands and trust that all things will work out for good for him like you stated in Romans.

Lord, i love You!  Please help me to have a good productive, alert day. (Jewel screaming for an hour at 4:30 – i’m so tired!)

God thank You for a good time with my family last night.  i really felt like it was an answer to  my prayers, and that i actually enjoyed the time quite a bit.  Thank You for my overtime, and for helping me to get up early.  Please help me to go to bed sufficiently as well.  Thank You for Mia and Jewel and how great they are.  They aren’t perfect but they definitely bring life to our family.  Please help me to get through this non-relaxing part of their youth, and not to be whiny about it but to remember it only happens once.  Thank You again, and i love You!  OOH also thank You sooooo much for letting me sing and play guitar.  That was such a huge blessing to me.  I pray that You’ll help me to continue and grow in that role to where i can regularly sing and play and worship.  I love You!

Our Daily Bread

God, thank You for yesterday and letting me sing and play at the same time.  It really was fun.  I pray that You’ll help me to keep learning, and getting more comfortable to where i can finally start worshiping as well.  Thank You for the encouragement You have given me throughout the weak both from those around me, and the subtle peace and feelings of worship that You gave me, that helped me to keep moving forward with it. Lord, i pray that You’ll help me get a good amount of overtime this week, and that overall You’ll help us to pay off a lot of debt!  I trust that You will multiply our efforts.  Lord, thank You for all that You’ve done for me.  Please help me to long for my quiet time, and to find something i should be reading.  I love You!

It Starts At Home

Lord, thank You again for  a good day yesterday of productivity, and for basketball.  I really thank You for basketball as it gives me a chance to hang out with some guys, and get some exercise.  Lord, thank You for the approved overtime.  Please help me to maintain a healthy balance between work and my family life, and please help me to take advantage of this time.  Also thank You so much for allowing me to sing while playing guitar… I can’t tell You how exciting that is for me!  Please help me to continue to be better musically, both with guitar and singing, and doing them together. I also pray that as a result of me singing & playing that I would be able to worship You more fully while leading and participating in leading the worship.  Lord, thank You again for how far You’ve brought me musically.  It really is a dream of mine.  Also my job… You really have fulfilled many of my dreams.  Now i pray that You would help me to be a great father, and that i would enjoy parenting more, and dread having to spend time with them.. It’s because i’m lazy, and they make me work. Please help me to grow up, and more importantly to start looking forward to my time with them.  Lord, i love You so much!
