Acts 10-12

Dear Jesus, thank you for you kindness to me. Thank you for giving me the privilege of playing in the band, and for running the sound board. Thank you for giving me the gift to do those things. Lord, thank You for sending the Holy Spirit, and I pray that the Holy Spirit would be alive in me. Today starts another work week, and I know there will be some significant challenges, so I just pray that You will work in and through me, so that nothing I do is out of my own selfish ambitions or laziness, but that I would do my job worthy of Your commendation, and that You would be given the glory. Lord, I pray that You will use my tenure w/ WDS to bring glory to yourself. I pray that I am used by You to accomplish your will, and I pray that You will continually make it clear to me what my purpose is. Thank you for your blessings, and thank you for your blessings on my week.

Lord, I pray you’ll also give Meagan an incredible week, and that she will be amazed at how much energy and patience she has. Help her to do great work at her salon. I love you.

Acts 5-7

Good morning, Lord. Thank you for men like Stephen who stood up for your gospel, and then died for it. Lord, I want to have that kind of resolve and faith.

Thank you for all the ‘stuff’ you give me (looking at the new speakers/subwoofer I got)… you graciously allow me to accumulate stuff, and it’s slowly starting to sink in that stuff matters little. Please be merciful in teaching me this lesson, as you have been.

The last couple days, Meagan has trouble with BOTH of our cars not starting after she stops for something.. This is super unnerving for me. Please give me patience. Please let me listen to the Holy Spirit whispering peace and strength to me.

Lord, I’m so conflicted about my job right now. I love the people, I love all the things I’ve done in the past, but now i’m afraid I’m not going to like my new job, director of engineering. BUT you can help me to love it, so I pray that do, and I pray that you will use me to bless the company, and that those in leadership would see that there is something special in my life, and desire to know what that is. I don’t know what I’m here for, but you do, and I pray that you will guide me here and give me strength and desire to do your will. I love you so much.

John 18-21, CR Spiritual Inventory 1

God, I thank you for your incredible graciousness. It is not lost on me.. as of right now. Lord, I’m sorry for selfishness, and my depravity. I love you so much, and yet I flounder looking for fulfillment in this life, when I have the author of life at my fingertips and listening to my heart. Lord, thank you for hearing me. Thank you for your omniscience, which we learned about this Sunday, and how it is defined by the fact that there is no upper limit. You are worthy of all my worship, and I’m sorry for when I lose sight. Lord, i pray that you’ll help me to lay my work issues at your feet on a daily basis. I know without a shadow of doubt that you are capable and willing to take my burdens, I just need to simply lay them down. So i am doing that now.. i lay my burdens of work at your feet and trust that you will empower me to make the right decisions today, and to be effective as your servant on this earth and in this company. Forever yours, and I love You!

Mark 8-16

46 Joseph bought a long sheet of linen cloth. Then he took Jesus’ body down from the cross, wrapped it in the cloth, and laid it in a tomb that had been carved out of the rock. Then he rolled a stone in front of the entrance.

There was no hope, but this man was a true servant and took care of Jesus’ body. He must have felt so happy for doing that when Jesus was raised from the dead. For this gracious act, he’s recorded in the gospels sandwiched between the greatest events in history.

Mark 9-

23 “What do you mean, ‘If I can’?” Jesus asked. “Anything is possible if a person believes.” 24 The father instantly cried out, “I do believe, but help me overcome my unbelief!”

Lord this is definitely me sometimes and my ongoing prayer… I DO believe, but help my unbelief. Lord I know you can heal Jewel without a shadow of doubt, so Lord, I beg that you do. I pray that you’ll heal her in a way that brings her to you, and in a way that brings you the utmost glory.

Mark 2:17
“Healthy people don’t need a doctor—sick people do. I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners.”

That’s why I love CR and the denial lesson. We’re all sick, we just don’t know it. No one is righteous, not not one.

Matthew 24-28

Matthew 24 and 1st half of 25 are pretty confusing, but the one thing you make clear is that we should keep watch. I’m afraid I’m not keeping watch with the same intensity you told us to have, so I ask for your help, both understanding the urgency and having the urgency. I know it’s a command you gave us, but Lord, you said, “ask and it will be given you” so I asking! Please give me the wisdom and insight to understand your teachings, and the urgency to uphold them!

sobering:
“And he will answer, ‘I tell you the truth, when you refused to help the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were refusing to help me.’
Lord please forgive me for those times I’ve ignored the least of these.

“Don’t you realize that I could ask my Father for thousands of angels to protect us, and he would send them instantly? 54 But if I did, how would the Scriptures be fulfilled that describe what must happen now?”

Wow, I would see any small thing as an “out”, but you prayed all night about an “out” and by this point, you were resolute.

When Jesus left the tomb, the people were quick to latch on to the rational lie, that the disciples took him. We are so predictably doubting. Lord, strengthen my faith!

‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭7‬:‭12‬-22 is confirmed in Nehemiah 9:24-38

Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land. (‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭7‬:‭14‬ NLT)

Nehemiah 9:28 “But as soon as they were at peace, your people again committed evil in your sight, and once more you let their enemies conquer them. Yet whenever your people turned and cried to you again for help, you listened once more from heaven. In your wonderful mercy, you rescued them many times!

God you are just, truthful, loving, all-knowing, and so on. I pray that I won’t be or become a cautionary tail, but instead an example of the fulfillment of your blessings and promises. Lord, I know i don’t deserve it, but you told us to ask!

Lev. 21-23

Lord thank you for the reminder of the level of perfection you require for holiness, and even more for relieving that requirement through the death of your son. Thank you for your grace and your love and for Jesus’ death on the cross and its power to free us from all the requirements of being your people. I love you!

Leviticus 4-7

Lord, thank you that we no longer are required to make sacrifices to you in this manner. You are absolutely deserving of our sacrifice. I pray you’ll help me to sacrifice my comfort where necessary to bring you the most glory. Lord, I just want to say thank you so much for the new guitar!!!! It makes me so happy! I pray you’ll bless it and me, and help me to play it in a way that it’s clear you’ve given me skill, & that it’s clear that you are amazing. I love you so much!
